Questions before you start?
A quick guide to services, scope, payment, revisions, and what happens after a project begins.
Everything you need to know before booking.
Do you work remotely?
Yes. Promise Writing is remote-first, so projects can be handled by email, shared documents, calls, interviews, and recorded source material. Philadelphia-area clients can discuss an in-person meeting when it is genuinely useful to the project.
How does the deposit work?
The standard package checkout collects a 50% deposit to reserve the project. The remaining balance is due according to the project agreement. The Monthly Story Retainer currently collects the first-month 50% deposit as a one-time checkout.
What happens after I submit the brief?
You receive an acknowledgement with your request reference. Promise Writing reviews the brief and follows up with next steps, questions, source-material requests, or confirmation of the project details.
Can you match my voice?
Yes. Existing writing, website copy, interviews, voice notes, transcripts, examples you like, and your feedback are used to understand how you naturally communicate and shape the draft accordingly.
Do you offer essay proofreading and writing?
Yes. Essay proofreading covers grammar, punctuation, clarity, structure, flow, and voice. Writing support can help shape an original essay from your ideas and source material. The service is designed to preserve your voice and support your own work rather than misrepresent authorship.
Can I request something custom?
Yes. Custom copywriting is available for websites, landing pages, campaigns, bios, email sequences, narrative projects, and other scopes that do not fit the standard packages.
